Getting to know the island

We were two families for a week, very convenient location if you want to travel all over the island by car. Great eco breakfast with local products and helpful staff. We wanted to visit the spa or gym but could never get in as they are available from 10am to 6pm.

Pretty little hotel near to the airport. Loved the tableware in the restaurant. Interesting choices for breakfast.

There was no carpark, so we had to find somewhere on the street. The restaurant is expensive.

Very Good

Nice hotel, but very far from almost anything. That's not a problem if you have a car (though be careful - the incline near the hotel is quite steep), but if you intend to travel by bus it's a bit of a pain. The breakfast was interesting. There were a lot of very small pieces/dishes of tasty something I enjoyed, but they are small & very slowly refilled. Don't buy your breakfast there if you intend to eat & rush out in 15-20 mins after the opening: the guy serving breakfast will spend first 30 mins just bringing out food. Very tasty though. Friendly staff

Wonderful

Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing, lots of fresh, homemade food. Great coffee and delicious smoothies (that banana & chocolate is to die for!) Clean room and bathroom. The hotel's restaurant is exceptional with their local dishes. We had a wonderful evening meal there. Quiet area. Pity we had no time to try the pool it looked great.

Parking is difficult in the area, narrow road and downhill parking is more than challenging. Bedside table solution is a little wobbly in our room.

Short stay in Tenerife

We stayed overnight at the Ecolife Hotel in Tenerife. It has a good location, close to the center of San Miguel, and is just a 20-minute ride from both the airport and the port. We arrived late and left early, so we didn’t have a chance to use the swimming pool or try the breakfast. The room was spacious, comfortable, and pet-friendly.

Some road noise. The decor has room for improvement, especially the lighting.

The hotel is small, but well maintained. Breakfast is good and they serve local foods. We were there for New Year's Eve and we were pleased to find in our room carnival items. A really nice surprise!

Our room was above a road that did occasionally get fairly noisy. The breakfasts were okay, the quality of the ingredients was good (buffet style) but the nice food ran out quickly restricting choice and the coffee wasn’t good.

Nice pool area, good restaurant but slow service at start, beds reasonably comfortable.

Beside main road so inevitably noise from traffic going uphill but knew in advance this was the case. Shower took ages to have hot water and shower head needs improving/maintaining. A good cup of tea seems elusive.

Very Good

I wanted to have a hotel near the mountains, and this was an excellent choice. The price of the hotel room was reasonable, in contrast to other places, and I appreciated that I was given the most spacious room and the only one with a balcony. The owner's wife, an Italian lady, was extremely helpful. At my arrival, she spent more than an hour with me to give me advice about my trips to the National Park and across the island. I loved how close the hotel is to Villaflor and Teide. Finally, the hotel has an excellent, though pricey, gourmet restaurant - ecologically responsible and fine local food.

The hotel is situated at the bottom of San Miguel, and if you want to go to the city centre, about 400m away, it is a steep climb. No problem for me, but take this into account, if you have mobility problems. Also though I had the best room, it was next to the main street to the mountains. Relatively quiet between 11pm and 7am, but otherwise much traffic noise. Finally, the only thing in the hotel's powers: do fix a shower gel/shampoo dispenser in the bathrooms. It does not cost much, but the current sachets and small soap are insufficient.

Perfect stay!

Everything was perfect. The hotel is located in quiet village of S Miguel, it has a few shops in walking distance. The restaurant was open and a must to try, the food is freshly prepared, every day they have different specials that they’ll tell you once you read the menu. Will definitely go back!

Small upmarket hotel towards the mountain…definitely worth trying the restaurant

Fantastic restaurant - we had a really delicious meal. Pool was nice and good breakfast. Very friendly staff. Easy to access from the airport.

No parking at the hotel. Easy to find parking up the road near the police station but a steep walk up and down.

Lovely small hotel. Beautifully refurbished and lovely food.

Breakfast was amazing! Many healthy options and everything made in the hotel. Rooms were big and comfortable. The hotel is lovely and the staff is lovely and very helpful.

The location is not ideal without a car as there are not many things around at walking distance. For a small swimming pool it should be heated because it was freezing cold.

Pretty nice cozy hotel

The room was clean, staff was very nice and welcoming.

The pool wasn’t very clean it had a lot of leaves inside. The location is a bit far from the touristic spots but if you rent a car it’s okay.
